Hunyuan Tai Chi

What is Hunyuan Tai Chi?

Tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

Hunyuan is a system based on circles which are part of the universe’s flowing energy. It is not affiliated with any religion but uses many Taoism concepts like the Yin and the Yang. It was founded by Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang of Beijing, China. Our particular class form is the Hunyuan24 of GM Feng as taught to me by Masters: Herb Parran, Yang Yang and Chen Zhonghua*.

*Certified to teach both the Chen Style Practical Method (81) and Hunyuan Taijiquan from Master Chen. (Edmonton, Canada. 2003)
